Travel Photographer to Host Photography Vacations

Edmonds, WA. 2/10/2011

Interested in grabbing your Nikon or Canon and getting your own angle of the Leaning Tower of Pisa? Photography Travel Tours is seeking adventurous shutter-bugs to join their idyllic Tuscany tour this spring.

Award-winning travel photographer Jim Nilsen (www.JimNilsen.com ) is conducting a nine-day photography vacation and instructional workshop in Tuscany, Italy, this coming May. His photography excursions are designed for photographers of any skill level who wish to improve their photographic skills while experiencing some amazing scenery.

Nilsen, a world traveler and gifted photographer, has exhibited at art fairs and gift galleries throughout the nation. His customers say his images of landscapes and architectural details are distinguished by their intense saturated colors and keen compositions.

The photography excursion will begin in Pisa, Italy. From Pisa, the group will drive by van to the Val d’ Orcia, one of the most beautiful valleys in Italy. They will spend seven nights in the heart of this region in the medieval hill town of Pienza, chosen for its proximity to several iconic Tuscan scenes. Within a short drive, Nilsen says, one can photograph cypress lined roads, enchanting farmhouses and chapels, medieval hill towns, and lush landscapes.

This photography vacation is intentionally limited to seven participants to ensure quality instruction and individual attention. Thanks to his expertise and experience in the region, each day Jim will guide the group to his favorite photogenic locations.

Jim emphasizes, “ My main objective is for the group to have a great experience while finding a balance between educational time with their cameras in the field and time to relax and take in all the pleasures that Tuscany has to offer. This should not be too difficult considering where we will be hanging out for nine days!”
