DAY 7 (May 14 and Oct 26 | 2021)
Today we leave Pienza and the picturesque Val d’Orcia.
We say goodbye to Marco and Paola, Rosella an Silvia, Silvana and Gianni, and all the people who have taken good care of us during our Tuscany Photo Tours over the past 10 years. Ci vediamo l’anno prossimo!
We want to thank all of you for traveling with us and helping us to stay virtually connected to the places and people we love. Below, we’ll share a few more of our favorite images and locations, a couple of lovely testimonials and an admittedly very cheesy “Arrivederci” song.
Grazie per aver viaggiato con noi e arrivederci!
This virtual tour of Tuscany has been focused on photographing brilliant green wheat and golden yellow canola fields and poppies in the spring.
However, we now also travel to Tuscany in the fall (as soon as its safe to do so). Click here if you’re interested in checking out the slightly different itinerary and the jewel-like fall colors.
Hi Jim & Magrit, thank you for letting us virtually travel during this “stay at home” time. It was a nice break for me as my Mother passed away last Mon. from covid. As you cannot even have a funeral now, it was good to be able to put my mind somewhere else. Carol Hindle France & Portugal.
If you post this somewhere, please do not use my last name.
Hey Carol. So sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. My Mom passed last July while we were in Ireland.
Glad that you enjoyed the virtual tours. That was all Magrit. I just took orders and prepared images and did some proofreading.
Take care,
Jim
Buongiorno Jim & Magrit – I just enjoyed the virtual Tuscan tour again (for the 3rd or 4th time). I never tire of the images of the Val d’Orcia. Through the daily posts I can feel the excitement of arriving in Pisa all the way through to the sadness of the end of the tour. LOL – I shouldn’t feel sadness about leaving – I live in Tuscany!
Your tour also hits upon some of our favorite spots – Latte di Luna, Osteria la Porta, and Caffe Poliziano (great spot for a ciocollato caldo on a cold winter day).
I look forward to the day our paths cross and who knows, I may even take one of your tours (Portugal maybe!)
Hey Jim,
Good to hear from you again and so great about your praise for the virtual tour. Look forward to meeting you when things get back to normal.
Take good care,
Jim
