Yesterday we treated ourselves to a wonderful lunch at the Locanda dell’Amorosa, a 4-star hotel and restaurant, set among the Sienese hills that overlook the Val di Chiana.
Poached egg over steamed asparagus drizzled with a truffle/balsamic vinegar reduction and asparagus cream sauce anyone? Light, fresh, bursting with flavor, and a beautiful visual presentation — quintessentially Tuscan.
Cacky sighed sweetly and whispered, “Home.”
