Rick Steves is Right

Hello from Pienza,

Yesterday’s research found us heading south on the autostrada to Civita di Bagnoregio, a village that Rick Steves describes as “Italy’s Ultimate Hill Town”. Magrit and I both agree. Photo ops. inside and out. Especially out, as the view from Bagnoregio to Civita is stunning.

Civita di Bagnoregio Rick Steves is RightThis image was actually a panorama of two photos stitched together in Photoshop CS5 using the Photomerge tool, giving me a whopping file size of 160mb. This should provide enough digital info. for a stellar 30×60 inch print.

From Civita, we ventured west into southern Tuscany to Pitigliano. Another vista of a town that is hard to pass up. This time I used three photos for the stitch giving me a file size of 250mg.

Pitigliano Rick Steves is RightLast night marked the end of our wonderful weeklong stay in Pienza. We look forward to our return in May with the group. Today we head to Pisa, about 2.5 hours, and then back to Edmonds tomorrow via Air France . . . Pisa/Paris/Seattle.

Ciao,

Jim & Magrit
