I spent the day with a tour guide in Siena while Magrit stayed back at the B&B in Pienza trying to get over a cold and cough. She slept most of the day and is in much better shape because of the rest. This is our last night in Pienza before heading back up to Pisa to meet with our group.
I didn’t get any shooting in today but will feature this video that Magrit shot of me while driving from Venice to Chianti a few days ago. I actually like driving in Italy except when I am on a country road and want to stop to photograph and a local Italian is driving about 2 inches behind me! It can be somewhat nerve racking. I have been able to keep up with the best of them though on this trip as we have a VW Golf which is a driving dream on the serpentine Tuscan roads. I always want a new car after using a rental in Italy.

Enjoyed the scenery, I loved the trees, even as they were whizzing by!

Love the posts! Weather looks pretty good
I depart SFO early, early tomorrow morning . . . see you soon. Anxious to get there!
Beautiful scenery!!
My favorite part of driving in Italy is when the oncoming drivers are ALWAYS on your side of the road…even when its not a curve. Very interesting driving.
WOW ! Hope you are feeling better Magrit.
Yikes! I hate driving in Europe. Too many trucks, going too fast!
Semi-crazy! Too cool Jimmie!
